The system is still the same game as its predecessor; turn-based in the world map, real-time in battle.
Now Empire Total War takes place early 17th century until the late 18th century. Where is the era of exploration and colonization. Below are some new things and changes in this game.
- Main singleplayer Grand Campaign map consists of three continents: North America, Eurasia (Europe, North Africa, and Asia Minor, aka the Middle East), and India.
